Hall Marmon (26), son of Walter C Marmon and heir apparent of the Nordyke & Marmon Company was killed in a car accident near Avon, Indiana. The youngest Marmon had been in charge of the experimental work for the company and was returning from an unsuccessful attempt to test a new braking system at the Pikes Peak Auto Highway.
