The Manchester United striker, Ruud van Nistelrooy was fined £60 by Trafford magistrates for speeding late at night in March 2005. He had been clocked driving at 39mph in a 30mph zone just after 11pm on September 20 last year. Magistrates imposed the fine and endorsed his driving licence with three penalty points.
